Transportation

There are a lot of ways to get to and from, in and around Holiday Inn Baltimore-Inner Harbor (Downtown). Here are a few. Including ways to navigate in and out of Baltimore as well.

 

Airport Transportation

SuperShuttle provides round-trip transportation between the Holiday Inn Baltimore-Inner Harbor (Downtown) and Baltimore/Washington International – Thurgood Marshall International Airport.

At the airport, proceed to the lower level to retrieve luggage. Once you claim your luggage, head for any of the exits. One of the outdoor attendants will help locate the next van to Baltimore still.  The same style and size van is available to return from the hotel to the airport on departure day. Cost is $13 one way; $24 round trip. Vans depart every half hour.

 

Light Rail

There are 33 station stops along the system. The Light Rail is a ‘barrier-free’ system, so tickets are purchased from the ticket vending machine before boarding. Tickets are not available on board.

Press the button on the outside of the train to gain access.  To exit, press the green button next to the door.

Light Rail locations within walking distance of the hotel include 299 North Howard Street and 301 West Camden Street.  Cost of a one-way fare is $1.60.  Trains run daily:

Monday – Saturday 6 AM – 11 PM
Sundays and Holidays 11 AM – 7 PM

Marc Train

This commuter rail system operates three lines of service including Hartford County MD, Baltimore City, Washington DC, Brunswick MD, Frederick MD and Martinsburg WV.

Camden line operates from 333 West Lombard Street, just one block from the . It services Washington Union Station, Riverdale, College Park, Greenbelt, Muirkirk, Laurel, Laurel Racetrack, Savage, Jessup, Dorsey and Saint Denis.

The Penn line operates from 1515 North Charles Street, one mile from the hotel. It services Washington Union Station, New Carrollton, Seabrook, Bowie State, Odenton, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport rail station, Halethorpe, West Baltimore, Baltimore/Penn Station, Martin Airport, Edgewood, Aberdeen and Perryville.

Service is available Monday – Friday only. Rates vary, though the average cost of a one-way ticket is $7.

Amtrak/Penn Station

Station building (with waiting room) is located at 1515 North Charles Street, one mile from the hotel.  Penn Station is 1.8 miles from Holiday Inn Baltimore-Inner Harbor (Downtown).

Train serves Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Tickets are available for purchase at the station daily from 5:10 AM – 9:30 PM. Rates vary.
